MUSIC MINISTRY

Sunday Morning services include traditional music from the hymnal, sung by the choir and congregation, lead by piano and organ music performed by Joseph Williams, pianist.

Wednesday evening services begin with Contemporary Praise and Worship music.

Joseph Williams, pianist, holds a Master's degree from Boston's New England Conservatory of Music and received his Bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University. He has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras, performing works by Rachmaninoff, Khachaturian, Ellington and Gershwin, in addition to performances of his own tone poem "A Gershwin Herald" which was commissioned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of George Gershwin's passing. Joe is engaged in a variety of musical activities. He has served as Faculty Accompanist for the J.U. Choral Program for a period of three years and was Composer in Residence at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral for two years during the 1990's. He is also a private piano teacher and is the Music Director at Fort Caroline Presbyterian Church in addition to his duties as pianist and accompanist for the the St. Barnabas music program.
